Water Quality Information
The Water Quality Data
is a below lists all the contaminants that we detected during the 2021 calendar year. The presence of these contaminants in the water does not necessarily indicate that the water poses a health risk. Unless otherwise indicated, the data presented in this table is from testing done between January 1 and December 31, 2021. The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) requires us to monitor certain contaminants at a frequency less than once per year because the concentrations of these contaminants are not expected to vary significantly from one year to another.

About Us
The Springs Valley Regional Water District (SVRWD) was established in 1978 to provide safe, reliable drinking water to the French Lick and West Baden Springs communities. Today, we serve more than 1,200 customers across the region.
Our Commitment to Quality
We are dedicated to delivering water that meets or exceeds all state and federal drinking water standards. Water quality is monitored regularly through sampling and testing for a wide range of potential contaminants, including:
-
Microbiological (such as coliform bacteria)
-
Inorganic compounds (like lead, copper, and nitrates)
-
Organic compounds (including pesticides and herbicides)
-
Disinfectants and byproducts (such as chlorine and trihalomethanes)
Annual Water Quality Report
Each year, SVRWD publishes a Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) that provides detailed results of water testing, explains what they mean, and outlines any actions taken to maintain compliance. This report is available to all customers and demonstrates our transparency and accountability.
Lead & Copper Monitoring
As part of our compliance with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Lead and Copper Rule, SVRWD maintains a service line inventory and conducts routine testing to ensure levels remain well within safe limits. Customers are encouraged to review their plumbing materials and contact us with any questions about lead service lines.
